THE DISABILITY RESOURCE CENTER OF TUCSON
Mr. Giachetti designed the Disability Resource Center of Tucson. This building is a 5,500 square foot office facility. The majority of employees and clientele which use the facility are disabled. The building has become a workshop and living lab for Barrier-Free Design.

AWARDS FOR THE DISABILITY RESOURCE CENTER OF TUCSON
Received Certificate of Appreciation from The Office of The Mayor; Tucson, Arizona October 07, 1988 For Outstanding Efforts In The Design Of A Special Use Building Which Exemplifies the Concept Of Barrier-Free Design.

Received Special Recognition Award October 07, 1988 from The Tucson Commission On the Handicapped For Outstanding Barrier-Free Design.
 

THE CANOA HILLS SOCIAL CENTER
Mr. Giachetti designed the Canoa Hills Social Center, Green Valley, Arizona. This building is a 16,000 square foot recreational facility which caters to an elderly clientele. The facility includes; lobby and art display area; locker rooms, showers, toilet rooms and dressing areas; multi-purpose meeting and auditorium rooms; kitchen facility; offices; exercise room; outdoor pool and ramada areas.

Received The Tucson Commission On Disabled Issues Award For Outstanding Architectural Accessibility; October 19, 1990.

Designed two single family homes for wheelchair disabled individuals.

ADA compliance renovations to Social Science building and Marroney theater, University of Arizona, Tucson, Arizona.

ADA survey for Carefree Plaza Shopping Center, Carefree, Arizona.

ADA consultant for new office facility, Tucson, Arizona.

University of Arizona ADA accessibility improvements to 9 buildings.

University of Arizona ADA improvements in accessibility to restrooms in Nugent and PAS buildings.
 

ADA TRAINING
Mr. Giachetti personally attended the following seminars:
Attended The Teleconference By The American Institute Of Architects On Americans With Disabilities Act. This was a three part seminar approximately fifteen hours in length.

Attended The American Institute Of Architects, Arizona State Chapter seminar on Americans With Disabilities Act. This was a two part seminar approximately nine hours in length.

Attended two mini-seminars on the ADA.

Mr. Giachetti was a guest speaker at the Real Estate Appraisal Institutes ADA seminar. Gave presentation on ADA Title II and III of the law.

Attended seminar on the Fair Housing Act of 1988.
